DICE, the developers behind the famed Battlefield 1942 and its successors, Battlefield 2 and 3, are also well known for their Bad Company spin off. Battlefield: Bad Company 2, released in March 2010, is a modern squad shooter that focuses on online multiplayer action! Squads consist of four members of different classes that are designed to support each other with different strengths and weaknesses. In addition to the solid multiplayer and reality DICE is known for, Bad Company 2 also has a deep single player mode that will give players something to enjoy offline.
Basic gameplay in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 has largely remained the same. Players take control of one of four different classes: Assault, Recon, Engineer or Medic. The Assault class is your typical infantry unit armed with an automatic weapon. The Recon favors long-distance weaponry such as the sniper rifle and is useful for gathering intel. Engineer players specialize in vehicles with the ability to repair or destroy them with their given equipment. The Medic is a supporting unit, able to heal other players if they have been wounded. New to Bad Company 2 is Specializations, which are added to individual classes. These add customization to the player’s roles in the game, and they are unlocked gradually throughout the game. They provide a variety of benefits, such as greater speed, larger grenade carrying capacity, improved scopes and medkits, and much more! Even more abilities can be gained by using BC2 Cheat. This brings a huge advantage to players, as they are able to tweak their character any way that suits their playing style. It also does a great deal to vary gameplay, making multiplayer matches more interesting and allowing for a new level of strategy.
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 also includes an extensive single player campaign. The story follows Preston Marlowe, a member of the “Bad Company,” who the player controls throughout most of the game. Set in modern times, most of the narrative takes place in South America and involves a frantic arms race with the Russians. Gameplay is divided up into missions, each with its own objectives to complete and cutscenes that give the game a cinematic feel. Typical to Battlefield style gameplay, gamers control a unit in the squadron as well as different vehicles. The AI units in the squadron are handy as they can support the playable character, engage in battle, and they cannot die. On the other hand, they won’t complete any objectives, so that is all up to the player.
While campaign modes are great, most players purchase a Battlefield game to experience the online multiplayer matches instead. DICE knows exactly what gamers want, and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 has another solid multiplayer mode. In addition to the different game types, online play has a variety of features that set it apart from the typical first-person shooter. The dog tag system, which was also included in the original Bad Company, rewards knife kills with the dog tag of the deceased. These are stored on the player’s profile, with relevant information such as the name of the user killed and the circumstances of the kill. Another feature is experience points, which gamers collect throughout the game to improve rank and unlock kit components. More experience points are given for special kills, such as getting headshots. Features found in Bad Company 2 Cheats can make experience points easier to obtain, so players can get these advantages more quickly.
With a solid single player campaign and endless multiplayer options, gamers have been spending plenty of time playing Battlefield: Bad Company 2! The available level of customization, has brought a whole new aspect to multiplayer competitions. Completists also have plenty to do, with tons of unlockables and rewards to aim for. All of these upgrades combine, to make this title one of the most engaging first persons shooters to date.
Nearly every FPS fan is familiar with the Battlefield series of games. Developed by Digital Illusions CE, this franchise has been a core part of the first-person war genre since the original Battlefield 1942. When Battlefield: Bad Company 2 was released in 2008, DICE brought new online modes, vehicles, maps, and much more to their modern squad shooter!
The real bulk of time with Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is spent on the variety of online modes. Several classic modes are featured, including Rush, Conquest, and Squad Deathmatch. Rush has assault teams attempting to destroy three sets of M-COM stations, while the defending team tries to prevent this. In Conquest, Battlefield’s staple game type, two teams attempt to capture flag points throughout the map. Squad Deathmatch plays like it sounds, with up to four squads battling for kills. Some users take advantage of Bad Company 2 Hacks to get these kills more easily. One tank is available on the battlefield and it can be claimed by any team.
Bad Company 2 also features two new modes. Squad Rush plays similarly to Rush, but it only allows for two 4-player squads, one on each side. Additionally, there is only one M-COM station to destroy, and there are no vehicles. The smaller scale of this mode allows for more focused, intense gameplay. A second gametype, Onslaught, is featured only for Xbox 360 and PS3 users. This brings co-op to console gamers for the first time. A squadron of up to four friends can team up against an AI enemy to complete a set of objectives on various maps. Each of these maps has a different focus, requiring strategy and teamwork to finish the mission. Bad Company 2 Hack can also help keep track of friends and enable better teamwork.
As with any shooter sequel, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 comes with a host of new weapons and vehicles too. There are 15 different vehicles in Bad Company 2, and several new ones have made the cut. For sailors at heart comes a boat absent from Battlefield: Bad Company – the Personal Watercraft. While lacking in firepower, the PWC is fast and essential for the ambush of island locations – which are featured on maps such as Isla Inocentes. Now available for use in multiplayer is a new helicopter as well, the UH-60 Black Hawk. Two Gunners are supported, as well as two additional soldiers who can sit on the sides, firing their own weapons. The UH-60 can be found on a variety of maps, including Valparaiso and Port Valdez.
Several different maps are included with Battlefield: Bad Company 2, and each work with multiple multiplayer modes. There are also 7 additional map packs available as DLC, that add new maps and re-function existing ones to work on other game types. There are 14 in total, each of which is available to use on 3 or 4 of the different modes. Two of the maps included as DLC, Harvest Day and Oasis, are remakes of fan favorites from the original Bad Company. The majority of the battles are set in South America, such as the Panama Canal and Valparaiso. There are other locations featured as well, such as Alaska and Russia. While these maps are quite expansive, BC 2 Cheat can help to locate enemies by using enhanced radar.
There is no end to the amount of content to be found in Battlefield: Bad Company 2. With five game modes, fourteen maps and plenty of weapons and vehicles to discover, DICE has been hard at work bringing content to gamers everywhere. One of the reasons they excel at this effort, is because their main focus has been the Battlefield franchise. Every new iteration and expansion brings more content specifically for the purpose of enriching the player’s experience, and with Bad Company 2 there is plenty to enjoy!
Released in March of 2010, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is DICE’s follow up to the original Bad Company. They have included a slew of new features, modes, and changes that improve upon an already excellent game! With over 12 million copies sold to date, the numbers speak for themselves, and gamers love Battlefield for its consistent online experience.
Bad Company 2 is available on all core gaming platforms, including PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. A port for iPhone was also released in December 2010. Several DLC titles were made available after the fact, mainly consisting of Map Packs. Seven different packs were released, adding new maps and re-functioning some for other game modes. For users looking for more content, map packs are available for download, and they will bring many more features to the game. Also available for download are kit upgrades, which include alternate uniforms and a weapon with customized camouflage.
In December 2010, DICE released an expansion to the game. Battlefield: Bad Company 2: Vietnam takes the franchise to the Vietnam War. It includes 15 new weapons, 6 vehicles, and 5 maps. This adds tons of content and playability to the game, keeping players highly engaged! It was also well-regarded by the press, receiving an average score of 9 out of 10 from game critics.
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 runs on the Frostbite 1.5 engine. This is an updated version of the engine developed by DICE for Battlefield: Bad Company in 2008. Destruction 2.0, new to the engine, allows for greater destructive ability. A significant improvement to Destruction 1.0 in the original Frostbite, this lets players destroy entire buildings and chip pieces away from cover. With Bad Company 2, the Frostbite engine was brought to PC for the first time, although version 1.5 was seen previously in Battlefield 1943. Other improvements to the engine are incorporated when advanced graphics are enabled, allowing for a faster framerate.
Featuring the squad gameplay that the Battlefield series is known for, Bad Company 2 players choose between four classes and a variety of game modes for online play. Some new features bring additional strategies to the table as well. One of these is Specializations, which are perks that can be fully customized and added to any class. This allows players to design their own unit, with its own play style and strategy built in!
These Specializations are unlocked gradually throughout the game, by earning experience points and achieving higher ranks. Perks can be anything from increased damage from weapons, better sights and accuracy, and improved health. Other abilities can be gained from our Bad Company 2 hack, which add many new options. All of these upgrades change the battle field conditions, allowing gamers to play in matches where no two units are exactly alike.
There are several other changes from the original Bad Company as well. In addition to the usual extra features such as weapons, maps, and modes, there is also a new Hardcore setting. This works with any game type and it removes most HUD elements and reduces the player’s health. This makes the game much more challenging, requiring keen insights as almost no information will be provided on the screen! In Bad Company 2, weapon damage has been increased compared to the previous game, and two kits (Demolition and Specialist) have been removed.
With all of these new features, gamers have even more to enjoy and more challenges to overcome. While some Bad Company 2 Cheats help to curb the competitive nature of online play, DICE has been steadily upping the ante with their Battlefield series. Bad Company 2 is a game meant for hardcore shooter fans, and DICE knows how to both consistently please and challenge them!
