The latest title offered in EA’s acclaimed series of first person shooters. Along with games such as Call of Duty and Halo, Battlefield is a core gamer franchise known for its deep multiplayer action. Released in October 2011, BF3 is available for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. DICE (Digital Illusions CE), the people behind all of the Battlefield games, have continued to live up to their reputation by bringing another huge installment to store shelves.
Set in the year 2014, the shooter game follows the story of Sgt. Henry Blackburn. Players fill in the role of many different units throughout the campaign, with missions taking place mainly in the US and Iran. The single player mode features a solo campaign that involves a conflict between the US Marine Corps and the People’s Liberation and Resistance. Missions don’t occur chronologically, but rather serve as flashbacks of Sgt. Blackburn’s memory instead. Also included is a new co-op campaign, which is a smaller set of assignments that users can play through with a friend. While split-screen functionality isn’t supported, players can enjoy using their full television screen by pairing up online. Though partners can’t sit right next to each other, voice chat and Battlefield Cheats provide methods to protect one another effectively. As an added benefit to playing co-op, points received in this mode will unlock weapons that can be used in multiplayer.
While it was developed for PC initially, BF3 thrives on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 as well. For PC, the game is available as a hard copy or download through EA’s Origin platform. Gamers will want to make sure they have plenty of free hard drive space though, as the file size is quite large. Due to its size, the Xbox version of BF3 ships with two disks, though only one Blu-Ray disk is needed for PS3.
For those who can’t satisfy their Battlefield craving at home, an iOS port is also available as a streamlined, on-the-go edition. While EA has expressed interest in the upcoming Wii U console as well, producer, Patrick Liu, has stated that nothing is planned. There is hope for Nintendo fans, however, as Liu hinted that if inspiration strikes for the new controls, a Battlefield game may eventually come to Wii U.
DICE is known for its fan service – rather than just releasing a game, they continue to improve upon it by bringing expansions and DLC. With two additions to the original Battlefield and four to Battlefield 2, DICE has kept up the streak. Two DLC titles have already been released: “Back to Karkand” and “Close Quarters.” These bring new levels, vehicles and weapons to the mix. “Close Quarters” also includes HD Destruction and a new game mode, Conquest Domination. On top of all that, three more expansions are set to roll in by next year, entitled “Armored Kill,” “Aftermath,” and “End Game.” Arriving this September, “Armored Kill” includes several new vehicles and maps. It will also be bringing the largest map in the history of the series. Gamers will certainly need cheats for Battlefield to keep track of their friends and enemies on such a large level! These DLC are available for all three platforms for $15 each, with a premium bundle of all the expansions available for $49.99.
With a strong campaign, ability for co-op and endless ways to play online, DICE has brought another huge installment to the shooter genre. Add in five expansions and cheats Battlefield, and this game becomes an endlessly replayable title. Just as gamers are still enjoying the original Battlefield 1942, they are sure to continue playing for years to come.
Every first-person shooter fan with a PC, Xbox or PlayStation has heard of the Battlefield series. Originally released as Battlefield 1942 for Windows and Mac, EA has released more than ten different games in the franchise since 2002. The latest in the series, Battlefield 3, is a sequel to 2005’s BF2 – which was highly regarded as one of the best multiplayer shooters of its time. Last year’s release of BF3 saw critical acclaim once again and a huge response from gamers, with over three million preorders alone! Digital Illusions CE (DICE), the studio behind the franchise, delivered BF3 a year after its last major release, Battlefield: Bad Company 2. While they have incorporated many features from the Bad Company spinoff, DICE has improved upon these options, to bring gamers the most expansive Battlefield yet.
Battlefield 3 is well-known for its intense multiplayer action. It features a combined arms battle, which allows for many different weapons, vehicles, and player units. There are four separate classes which gamers can select from in multiplayer as well. For those who favor intel and long-distance combat, the Recon comes with a sniper rifle equipped. This unit has been updated to reduce the scoping speed and it requires the character to hold their breath to shoot accurately! Battlefield Cheat help to curb this added difficulty, by providing special abilities not otherwise available. Additionally, the Recon can now place a beacon anywhere on the map, at which team members can spawn. For standard warfare, the Assault class is your usual run-and-gun soldier, though they now take on the role of the Medic. In place of Medics from Bad Company 2, the developers have reintroduces the Support class. Players in this role will provide suppressing fire and they are able to resupply other soldiers. Finally, the Engineer class is able to repair vehicles, in addition to destroying enemy vehicles with explosive weaponry – such as mines and rocket launchers.
There are several game modes to take advantage of in multiplayer as well. Conquest, the classic mode from Battlefield 1942, allows between 24 to 64 players to compete at the same time. In this mode, players will utilize units and vehicles to take control of flag points on large maps. With so many players on the field, things can get hectic without Battlefield Hack to help keep track of the action! In Rush, which was featured in Bad Company 2, teams will fight to either destroy or protect M-COM stations. Squad Rush combines the Rush mode with smaller, 4-member squads. For those gamers who prefer these compact teams, Squad Deathmatch is included as well. This is your standard death match affair, with four squads, each with four players. There is one available vehicle in this mode, the Infantry Fighting Vehicle. Finally, available to play for the first time since Battlefield 1942, is Team Deathmatch. Although no vehicles are supported, up to 24 players are allowed, with two teams of 12 duking it out. Added features included with Battlefield Hack will help rack up the kills, making for an easier victory.
Hardcore gamers are certain to enjoy playing, a fact that is backed up by its sales numbers. A huge amount of content is already widely available, and is ever-growing with steady releases of DLC. New modes, features, and more make this another landmark shooter, and millions of players are already hooked on the online multiplayer. They are sure to keep coming back for more action with Battlefield 3, as it provides endless hours of challenging competition!
With over ten independent titles and over a dozen expansions, EA’s Battlefield franchise is one of the most prominent in the first-person shooter genre. It is the latest in the series of intense, combined arms warfare, and it comes with significant changes and improvements. Several new features are included, such as 64-player battles on PC, fighter jets, and the ability to go into the prone position. A new game engine has also significantly improved the visual effects, and Battlefield Hacks enable players to modify them to their liking.
Improved graphics are featured, which runs on the new Frostbite 2 engine. Frostbite was originally developed by DICE for use in shooters, the first being Battlefield: Bad Company in 2008. Notable features included were Destruction 1.0, which allowed for destructible environments, and HDR Audio, which enables dynamic sound adjustment. The latest Frostbite engine has significant upgrades, though it is no longer compatible with DirectX 9 for Windows XP. It can now take advantage of 64-bit processors and DirectX 11, and of course it is also compatible with Xbox 360 and PS3. The engine allows for more detailed visuals, such as improvements to destruction effects and support for denser city areas. Battlefield 3 Cheat can add even more components to the environment, or take them away for an improved framerate.
One of the biggest new features is for PC users, who can now partake in 64-player matches. While this wasn’t previously possible, the upgraded Frostbite 2 engine allows for this. PC gamers now have an unprecedented amount of multiplayer action. For players on any platform come new abilities, such as the ability to lay flat in the prone position. This also comes with the ability to attach bipods with certain weapons. Suppressive fire now has added benefits too, as it can slow enemy regeneration as well as blur their vision. Further features, such as improved aiming and ESP, can be had by adding Battlefield 3 Cheat.
The core game comes with nine different maps built in. That’s a great deal – considering that each map is adjusted for the different game modes. This means that all nine maps are available for each of the game types. Battles take place in a variety of locations, such as an oil refinery, the streets of Paris, and the mountains of Iran. Additionally, the first two DLC already released, “Back to Karkand” and “Close Quarters,” both add four maps to the collection. The locations added in “Back to Karkand” are actually remakes of maps from Battlefield 2. The newest DLC, “Armored Kill,” features settings ideal for vehicles as well as the largest map of any Battlefield game.
Vehicle lovers are already getting a kick out of the machinery in the game. Four jets are included in the game, and with “Back to Karkand” the vertically landing F35B is available. New maps such as Caspian Border fully realize these aircrafts, with expansive, open landscape great for flying. Targets are harder to spot from the air on such large maps, but some gamers are using Battlefield 3 cheats to help locate and aim at the enemy. In contrast, players who are more comfortable with ground warfare, will enjoy the new “Armored Kill” expansion. This introduces several vehicles, including tanks and ATVs.
In conclusion, better graphics, huge maps and great vehicles make Battlefield 3 a popular game already. In addition, the constant stream of DLC with new maps, vehicles, and gameplay make DICE’s latest offering one of the most expansive war games to date.
